Architectural Sales Manager
Work with program and project managers to direct and coordinate activities related to the sale and distribution of natural stone for landmarks, institutional, commercial and residential architectural projects. Prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures. and review budget proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls and create project accounts in the accounting systems for the Architectural Sales department. Maintain project-related records. Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of current and future sales efforts. Analyze sales statistics and prepare reports that determine the sales potential and inventory requirements of products and to monitor customers’ preferences to project sales and determine the profitability of products by region and recommend discount rates or special pricing plans accordingly. Develop plans to acquire new customers. Recruit, hire, and train new members of the sales staff and plan and coordinate training programs for sales staff; assign sales territories and establish sales goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration including coursework in accounting, economics and statistics.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience that must have included project accounting within the distribution of natural stone products or construction industries.
