Architectural Stone Projects Director (Tate, Georgia)
Provide architectural technical support and public relations services on client projects.
Recommend construction and installation techniques in compliance with industry rules and regulations. Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to cost estimates and client expectations. Authorize specifications and architectural drawings in compliance with industry and architectural stone standards. Oversee project design. Review projects for anomalies and make recommendations to bring the project back into compliance with architectural norms. Recommend architectural materials to be utilized on projects. Propose time saving and cost-effective solutions. Ensure all requisite project information is obtained pre-construction. Monitor projects from inception through completion. Provide technical support to construction department staff while projects are in progress. Regularly meet with clients throughout each phase of a project. Resolve issues discovered during project planning. Ensure that project execution conforms with client expectations.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or closely related field (will accept foreign equivalent degree). Minimum of 10 years of experience that must have included plan reading and drafting; stone fabrication costing; natural stone for building envelope and hardscaping; and stone origins on east coast (North America) historical buildings prior to restoration process.
