The Position:

The Continuous Improvement Manager will provide the leadership, coaching, and project management to the organization in support of the company’s continuous improvement journey. This position will work together with the company leadership teams in identifying and improving processes and standards. The CI Manager will be an integral part in creating a culture that supports continuous improvement.

Expectations:

  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement by acting as a coach and mentor to all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with the plant staff and leadership to collect observations, ideas, and solutions.
  • Create leadership standardized work to provide front-line leaders the tools needed to monitor and control productivity.
  • Identify waste in current processes, and together with area teams, develop ways to reduce or eliminate to improve productivity.
  • Assist plant leadership in developing training documents for new team members.
  • With the support of Value Stream Mapping, document current state and suggest ways to improve.
  • Work with facilities and leadership to develop and deploy meaningful KPI’s as well as improvements to obtain and exceed these goals
  • Help in developing goal boards to give team members the visibility of daily production goals.
  • Develop point of management meetings to discuss gaps in achieving these goals and plans to eliminate.
  • Create standardized processes to sustain goals and develop controls plans for sustainment.
  • The ability to affectively perform time studies.
  • Create and lead Gemba walks with plant leadership to teach and identify waste
  • Create and lead the 5S strategy for all facilities and control plan to sustain.
  • Send out monthly CI Topics/Trainings for frontline leaders to discuss during plant meetings.
  • Develop visual controls that easily identify problems
  • Organize and lead Kaizen workshops.
  • Implementation of Kanban to maintain the appropriate levels of inventory.

Experience and Traits:

  • 3-5 years of implementing continuous improvement
  • 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing role
  • Strong organizational and communications skills
  • Excellent analytical, project management and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and experience working in ERP systems and strong computer skills
  • Ability to work side by side effectively with team members and gain their trust and buy-in to your program

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,255.00 – $85,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate: Oolitic, IN 47451: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
