Technical Sales Representative – Street Curbing

Location: Ontario


Territory: Primarily covering the Greater Toronto Area, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, but not limited to these regions.

Availability: Position open immediately

Purpose of Position

Polycor Group, a world leader in the natural stone industry, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support business growth in the street curbing sector. Under the direction of the VP of Sales, this strategic role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with provincial and municipal stakeholders, civil and urban engineers, and other government decision-makers to position our materials in major public infrastructure and urban revitalization projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent and promote Polycor’s street curbing solutions to a client base that includes Department of transportation, municipalities, engineering firms, urban planners, and private-sector developers.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities in public and private markets (infrastructure, public spaces, private developments projects).
  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Deliver product presentations and technical training sessions to stakeholders.
  • Ensure proactive project follow-up and produce regular performance and pipeline reports.
  • Monitor market trends, public tenders, and major urban development initiatives.

You are a highly autonomous and strategically minded professional with strong organizational skills. You have a proven ability to build trust and credibility with technical experts, institutional partners, and government agencies. You excel at simplifying complex technical information and navigating multi-layered decision-making environments. Your curiosity and drive are aligned with a genuine interest in innovation, sustainable architecture, and the enhancement of public spaces.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in technical sales or business development, preferably within public or B2B sectors;
  • Familiarity with municipal procurement processes and public tenders.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Bilingual in French and English (oral and written), an asset.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time across the assigned territory.
